Saturdays, 4:00–5:15 pm

Location: IYSDC Studio

Please join Catherine as she leads us in the foundational elements of Vipassana (mindfulness) and Metta (loving-kindness) meditation. In this series, Catherine will introduce the basics of seated, standing, walking, and eating meditation, and guide us in the liberating practice of non-judgmental attention. Each week will have a specific theme to focus our attention. This is a beginning meditation series and is open to all. Buddhist meditation is a spiritual practice and not a religion.

9/13: Meditation Basics
9/20: Karuna (Compassion)
9/27: Mudita (Sympathetic Joy)
10/4: Upekkha (Equanimity)

No previous meditation experience needed.
Preregistration is recommended.
Come to as many sessions as you want!
Please sign up for each one separately.

Each session is by donation.
Donations, while not required, are warmly encouraged,
and support IYSDC, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
