Restorative Asana and Sound Bath:
Toning the Vagus Nerve
with Gwi-Seok Hong and Marlene Patton
The vagus nerve is a key part of the "gut-brain connection," running from the brainstem to the large intestine. It helps manage involuntary functions like heart rate, breathing and digestion. We will gently stimulate the vagus nerve through a specially designed āsana sequence, complemented by the vibrations of a sound bath with our musician, Marlene. The restorative āsana practice will be followed by a short toning session focusing upon vagus nerve stimulation. These practices can reset the nervous system and promote calmness and clarity.
